How did we together with Euro Fintec company manage to improve quality and product design and to increase the number of products in GORENJE MEKOM company from Šoštanj?
1. What was the problem?
Refrigerator door and cover
After welding of the workpiece the angled welds needed to be machined (the weld must not be visible) and whole surface needed to be even all over the product (visual appearance important)
The main problem of the company was that the human factor wasn’t able to ensure the required quality of machining and number of products.
2. What was the solution?
We solved the problem by manufacturing a robot cell in which we used a robot hand and stable grinding machines of Euro Fintec company.
3. What benefits does Gorenje Mekom have because of the solution?
- With the use ot the robot hand and stable grinding machines of Euro Fintec company they achieved the desired quality of surface machining.
- Production time is depending on the product only 4 to 6 min per product.
- Only one operator is needed for the machine.
