How did we help to improve the quality of products and how did we help to manufacture greater amounts of products at MLM company in Maribor?
1. What was the problem?
After casting of workpieces (three-sided cross) they needed to be machined. 3 conical holes needed to be made with ±0.05 mm tolerance. The holes should be in the same plane with a ±0.05 mm tolerance in height. The ordered quantity of products also increased.
The main problem of the company was that the current machines did not provide the required quality of machining and the required increased quantity of products.
2. What solution did we develop?
The problem was solved so that we manufactured a tailored machine in which we used Suhner Drill Units.
3. What benefits does the MLM company have because of this solution?
- With the use of Suhner Units they achieve the prescribed tolerance.
- With the use of Suhner Units they achieve the desired product quantity (factor x 10).
- Only one operator deals with the machine.
